HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Like the slug line reads, HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!! I hope that you all had a great time during the Christmas and New Year holiday season! All the best to all of your families and friends as well!! I spent the holidays with family and friends in Victoria, Canada............and Vancouver, Canada. Thank you to all of those Eragon friends of mine who invited me to various places around the world to visit and party for X-MAS and New Years......I needed to be home for now. Well..........looks like Atlantis/SG1 start up in mid/late Feb........should be fun times. I just saw and episode of Atlantis on Movie Central the other day at a friends place,(I don't have cable....thanx Aleya for that instead of Sex in the City)....I missed Tori's fight, and was unable to aide in the editing of it because of Europe and such....so I still have not seen the final product. I would like to have feedback from you all as I am curious about this particular sequence. Training has resumed for 2006 and Franco's has reopened after holidays to allow us all to start pounding away again. Not much to report otherwise except for trying a new restaurant in North Vancouver last night.....can't remember the name....Kush Cool? Something to that tone....on Pemberton Street....Persian food.....first time for me.......excellent. Anyone with tastebuds that are falling asleep, it's time for you to go to this place. They were closing and kept it open after a phone call. Very nice people inside. Well........Hmmmmmmmmmm...............Ahhhhhhhh..........finally saw "Its all gone-Pete Tong"......very well done. Good fun....black comedy. I've recently been working on BLADE-the pilot for TV and SCARY MOVIE 4.Check out INSIDE KUNG FU Magazine's January issue....it has a pretty cool article on Atlantis, and the training of Rachel and Jason in there....some nice pix too!!! Aside from that personal life is going well, having fun, can't tell you too much or I would have to....blah, blah, blah....yayayayaya..........heard it before. Just in between workouts....gotta go to Franco's now........Take care in 2006!! Ciao.

Hey BamBam, Happy New Year to you as well.

Torri's scenes were fabulous. They looked very convincing. Check out the Weir WOW and Torri Appreciation threads if you want to see pics.

Hi James, nice to hear from you again, I'm glad you had a great christmas and enjoyed times with family and friends!!!!

Thanks to you a large part of my holidays have been spent reading Eragon and its sequel Eldest. I had been reading your blog about making the movie and was shopping several days later and low and behold there was Eragon, so of course I had to buy it! It was an awesome book and I now cannot wait to see the movie especially so I can see the action sequences and sword fights!!! Will you maybe be working on the sequel as well???

I unfortunatly have not yet seen TLG with Torri's fight but hopefully I will get to soon!! From the way both you and Torri have described it it sounds awesome!!!

Enjoy the rest of your holidays! We look forward to hearing more Stargate tales when you go back to work!!

Hugs
Erin

Happy New Year!

I liked the fight - like how quickly she was able to engage everybody! And particularly the one guy who went down by the neck. I think it was too short though, I wish they'd put in a few more seconds of it, though perhaps the quick pace was to show how efficient she was? Overall, enjoyed it. =^)

The Torri fight was le cool. The moves were nice and efficient and the directing really showed them off with the birds-eye view. The second the guy put his hand on her shoulder all I could think was "Ooo, she's gonna open a can of whup a$$." They obviously don't watch enough action movies to know not to give "aliens-entities-posessing-your-boss-and-chasing-your-CO-around-the-alien-city-you-live-in" that kind of opening.

Cheers to you, you all get gold stars.

To be honest, I thought the Torri fight scene in The Long Goodbye was over too quickly. I couldn't really see her hit each opponent, at least not with enough impact to take them down. The beginning and end were great but the blur of activity in the middle needed more definition to be completely convincing, IMO. Not a big issue though -- the ep was a lot of fun.

Hey BamBam,
Well after hearing all about the fight from Torri I couldn't wait to see it - and was so not disappointed! Awesome! It was over to fast though, and the editing made it a bit hard to keep up, but hey - still looked great! Great work,
Cheers, Caitlyn
