THANX TO STEVE IRWIN........

Recently, a very popular personality passed on by a chance encounter with a stingray. Steve Irwin was on every TV screen, in every household in Canada that I can remember a few years back. When I was just recently in Australia, there he was on every screen again while Dan Payne and I were going through customs.........telling us what we can and can't bring into the country. The man was as close to being a fellow stuntman as you can get, in my humble opinion......but he played with a much larger world of less predictable circumstances......the animal world. I have been extremely busy at work as of late, and the time to write this blog has dwindled into no time at all.......but......I just thought it was important to mention the late Steve Irwin and the smiles he put on so many people's faces throughout the years. Thank you for that Mr. Irwin. I never met the man, nor have I ever had a phone conversation with him. I do have great respect for what he accomplished and the knowledge he must have been walking around with in his head to accomplish it. My thoughts go out to his family and close friends.

Nice tribute. Steve Irwin will certainly be missed. It's hard to believe that he's gone from our planet. I will always remember the message he brought to the world, and how important it is preserve wildlife their habitats. Thanks to him, I have a greater respect for snakes, gators, crocs, and other wildife. I would love to someday visit his zoo in Australia.

Being an Aussie living in Canada it was hard to hear of Steve Irwins' death and not be extemely sad. Thanks for your words Bam Bam, it means a lot to us Aussie's who, even though I have never met him, still feel very close to him. Not only was he a great man but also a great dad, husband and ambassador for Oz. He will be missed. Give your loved ones a hug... you never know when they might not be around anymore. x x x

Very nicely said. I'm currently going into zookeeping, and Steve Irwin has been a huge inspiration to me. All his fame, the attention he got, he channeled it all into educating the world about protecting the environment, and I hold him in the absolute highest regard for that. Conservation efforts suffered a great loss at his passing.

Thank you so much for such a nice tribute to Steve, He was an amazing man and being an Environmental Scientist myself I know what an amazing job he did of raising the world's awareness of the need for conservation!

Here in Australia we are all still grieving his loss, and its nice to know that the rest of the world is missing him just as much as we are!!

Thanks again!

Thank you so much for saying that. Steve Irwin was a true warrior for wildlife. A bright light went out when he passed, and it is up to us to continue his legacy. He taught us to live and love to the fullest with a passion that brought smiles to the hearts of all. May we all learn from his beautiful example and live each day to the fullest, fighting to save our dignity as a species through love.
