I stopped reading fan fic a few years ago, mostly because the SG1 fan fic was just so good and so well written that I was beginning to blur what was in fan fic and what was in an episode. It happened after I watched Holiday one day. I hadn't seen it for a long time, and was very perplexed to find that a scene I remembered quite clearly wasn't actually in it. Had they cut it out? But why - it was on DVD. They wouldn't cut a scene from an episode on DVD would they? Then I realised that it wasn't in the episode - what I was 'remembering' was a fan fic of the missing scene kind. And it had been so well done, I'd been able to fully visualise it in my head to the point that in my mind, it was now a part of the episode.

But then a friend of mine recommended this short fic . It is a crossover - Eureka and SG1. And I have to warn you that it is a work in progress. Hopefully the author will finish it soon!
