Yay I have my blog back. After months of snafu's I can finally return to blathering endlessly. I'm sure that you're all thrilled. I had this blog entry all written up and ready to go for quite some time but wasn't able to post it thanks to some kind of blogger issue so this rant is a bit old and has been edited slightly to keep it current. Here goes:

I have to say that I've become somewhat disenchanted with fandom as of late. While I have certainly voiced my fair share of criticisms in regards to certain aspects of the show, mostly in regards to season 9, I do feel that I've managed to keep it constructive at least and not just say that I hate something but to say why I didn't like it. It seems that everywhere I turn on GW these days there are fans attacking other fans and threads popping up all over the place to rip TPTB to shreds. I do realize that there have been some major shake-ups lately, what with the end of SG-1 as a series and the cast changes on Atlantis, and that people will react strongly to such things but it seems as though civility and common courtesy are dead. Even Joe M has gotten in on the action, taking the time to take aim at a couple of his more outspoken critics on his own blog. There have been conflicts within the fandom since the fandom began. Anyone who went through the original ship wars and season 6 can attest to that. Still, at least even with all the bickering there was an overall love of the show. I don't really see that anymore. It's kind of sad.
