Friday night we went to the Kevin Smith panel and saw the pilot of Reaper. It was entertaining and pretty funny but I'm not 100% about it. Kevin Smith was Kevin Smith so obviously there weren't a lot of small children there. So the first question of the Ark of Truth panel, which was what was up next for Chris Judge after SG-1, was rewarded by a signed script of episode 200 which, sadly, wasn't given to me. They also gave away a season 10 box set. The answer to the question was that Chris's Rage of Angels project was a go with MGM. Gary Jones was moderating again this year and was absolutely hilarious as always.

I have to say that I'm fairly ticked at the fact that Creation no longer offers affordable tickets to the con in Vancouver. Last year I made the mistake of waiting to purchase until preferred weekend packages went on sale that didn't include the studio tours (which they had done the year before) but instead they never even offered them. Recently it seems to me as though the majority of SG-1 episode are comprised of a large amount of slapstick humor. Previous to this season there was maybe on incredibly silly episode per year, possibly two, but for the most part the humor of the episodes were low-key and more about wit and banter than physical humor and site gags. Well as much as I really enjoyed the season premieres the second episodes didn't really do all that much for me. Well after many many issues with blogger and days of trying to get this blog updated it appears that I finally got it worked out. I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised by the season premiere of SG-1. Last season I was entrenched firmly in the middle ground. I didn't love season 9 nor did I hate it.
