Ok here's the thing I definitely don't have any issue with anyone discussing with me or another person a tidbit regarding the show in my comments sections IF IT HAS AIRED period. I have no requirement passed that. SO if you are one of those people that read Season 10 or Season 3 spoilers and INSIST on posting about them in my comments section well then I will start deleting comments.

I don't read spoilers, I don't discuss spoilers and guess what?? THIS is my Blog, so I get to make the rules.

SO while I will respect your right to love or hate spoilers in your posting respect mine as well. MY Blog is not a democracy, Its a dictatorship of one ME

So what have you been doing while we wait for the Premieres to come about? Me personally well some of you know I make videos for Battlestar Galactica and there is a Convention coming up so I have been making all sorts of strange vids trying to figure what to send into the Video Competition.

Have you ever watched some of the StarGate videos that are out there??? WOW is all I can say. There are some exquisitely talented people out there making videos for SG-1 and SGA. I definitely recommend you stop by the Fandom Folder and check out the *Music Video* thread is you are interested.

I can honestly say that I am not up to the caliber I see on some of these vidders YET!!! LOL.. but I am learning stuff still and trying.

I still have this one video I found 2-3 years ago that is just INCREDIBLE....It is a StarGate *Gen Vid* set to Billy Thorpe's *Children of the Sun*...and it is so incredible that I can't even begin to do it justice here.

If ANYONE knows the one I am talking about AND has a link please post it in the comments.. Folks this video IS a unique blend of song, clips and editing that is just WOW. THIS is the video that got me hooked on videos period.

One place that has alot of SG-1 and SGA videos with a few other fandoms is my host site...http://www.marimba26.com/ I think there is at least 4 or 5 vidders in residence there and the shows vidded are SG-1, SGA, Dead Zone, Alias, BSG, Angel, FireFly and some other Misc. Fandoms.

Vidding is just another form of Fan-Fiction ...only its told in music form. Its also a nice way to watch the episodes again as you are making a vid you think *Oh man I so loved that scene, I have to go watch that episode now* and you break out your Box Sets.
And then you find yourself over on the Forum chatting about past episodes in the *Episode Threads* cause you saw something you missed the first few times you watched. I love that when that happens. And with SG-1 I find that it happens alot (grin) I am always seeing a new moment that makes me smile or laugh or think about.
YES EVEN Season 9...LOL

I like that the show is changing and I am hopeful that the growing pains have eased up and the writers will be giving us more and more of those moents for many years yet. I seriously really just like StarGate. Even with all my pissing and moaning some days about TPTB and how they need to actually *watch* their show from time to time *roll eyes* Overall I do still just plain LIKE THE SHOW. So I am looking forward to July with excitement. I always start getting antsy when all the *Lowdown* commercials start airing...I wonder if we will have one this year?? I hope so!

So while I have many facets to my fandom and my opinions may vary from item to item when you get to the heart of it..... StarGate still makes me smile ALOT!

Heelllloooooo out there. I hope all of the world is well for you who are reading this. Mine is ok. I am still a bit disgruntled about my work putting up filters that don't allow me to access GateWorld Forums from work but otherwise...I am hanging in there. I was so shocked when I went to click on GW Forums one afternoon and all of a sudden this screen popped up that *Websense* Forums and Groups prohibited. I think my eyes must have bugged out for just a moment. WHAT??? I was just on this morning...how unfair was that???

Since then I have been given the directive to list all of the URLs that I do need from Forums and Groups so they can be indivually allowed....*sigh*.... I have a number of groups that I network with in my job so they have to give me some access but I still haven't figured out HOW to explain why I would need GW Forum as part of that.. Any Ideas??

BUT because of that, my time has now been regulated to just when I am at home and THAT is a joke ..LOL

Like how many Mothers/Wives out there KNOW there is no such thing as *Spare-Time* and any time you grab for yourself to do what you want is sometimes a miracle in itsself. I have taken to growling when anyone wants anything when I am on the computer...it seems to be a good deterrant.. as all seem to LIKE their limbs.

What I find somewhat funny is I CAN access the main site and I have that RSS feed to *My Yahoo* so I can keep up with the news. But I am a spoiler phobe so sometimes that is scary to even click on. I have no idea why they can't just pay me for being there...I mean I smile, I am nice..I should get paid for making it a nicer work environment...shouldn't I (wink)

So anyway, that has left me even less time to actually *play* on the Forum. Which is completely depressing because I do really enjoy some of the discussions and want to get in on some of them.

One being well the return of RDA for the 5 episodes. If you have lived in a cave you might not know that I am a HUGE Jack & Sam Shipper. Not a fanatic, not a froth at the mouth OMG they must be together or I won't watch the show shipper...BUT I LOVE romance in everything.

I LOOK for romance in everything. I am a warm and fuzzy person *normally* and I will have to hurt anyone who says different dammit..

So I do hope that TPTB add a bit of that romance for these two characters and wrap that up. I don't need much and I am fine if it is just interwoven into the episodes....I always thought that a GOOD writer could do that anyway, mix good action, good drama and romance all into one great show. Oh Wait...someone did...FARSCAPE, Babylon 5, and other NON-Sci-Fi shows. It can be done without pushing the romance into anyone's face. So maybe TPTB won't drop the ball this time and make it silly.

I have dealt with the ending as is and made my own decisions regarding the characters so I was in a *nice place* with it and just enjoying the show. BUT romance is what will *emotionally* invest me into a show. Why? Because I think every person on some level does just want to be loved and love in return. Its a basic thing. Now I am not talking about *Jump in the bed and get all sweaty* type romance (but hey TPTB could do that at this point with S & J..I would be fine LOL) What I am talking about is the more profound aspects of romance. Mature romance. The fact that a couple loves each other is a wonderful thing to behold. Watch a couple that has been married for a while and if they have found that wonderful place of not only deep love, but respect, support, and the ability to see that other person's needs as more important than their own. Then you will see an intamacy that I can't even begin to really describe here. You just have to see it.

We all know that *First excitement* of dating someone new and how we get all aflutter when we see them But since we ALL know that does go away over time, that *first blush* then what are you left with? Either you find out it was really just a *heat of the moment* pairing OR you find out that you may have met the person you can love forever.

So I like to see that in my shows. I think it is a wonderful wonderful thing. However, I am an extremely intelligent woman (no comments from the peanut gallery) and I realize that a Sci-Fi show isn't going to have that kind of major depth all the time. So all I ever ask for is some backgroud story that just pops up once in a while. IMHO Farscape did it with some major depth and that made me just fall head over heels in love with the entire show. Not only was I entertained but I was emotionally fulfilled as well. Or at least as much as I wanted from a TV show.

So I look forward to what TPTB will do. I am hopeful that they will bring Sam & Jack together without it being so campy or over the top that any fans who aren't really all that impressed by the couple won't be dismayed. I want us all to be happy with our show but Hey as long as I AM.... I am willing to let the rest of you slide...LOL

But if they don't I will be ok too. I have already come to terms with it so...... while I may be a bit bummed I will still be planted on my couch every Friday because I really am liking Cameron Mitchell, Vala and the General as well as loving the main cast that brought me this show for so long. I will still wail about adding new writers and I will still prbably find things MANY things that I think TPTB could have done better. But I am content. I am entertained and that is all I ask of that box that sits so prominently in my living room.

Hopfully you can find that place for yourself too (grin)

Ya know I sit here and read post after post after post reaming the show a new defecating hole daily... AND I have written a Blog or two myself asking TPTB to take a good look at what they have written in the past versus what they are writing now....Ya wanna know what difference I see in what I am reading versus what I am writing??

I'll tell ya. I at least TRY to be positive and TRY to be upbeat overall about the show I do enjoy and decent to the fans I am discussing it with. I can be a real pain in the Mitka if needed but geez lousie I am getting to the point that I want to start chanting *If you are so sick of things stop watching*

Does that mean I don't think your opinion and thoughts about how the show could be better are invalid NO.. Does that mean I think YOUR opinion is invalid? NO What it means is ...if ALL you plan on doing is whining then yes I am tired of you.

So if you are posting constructive posts about what you find offensive or lacking then this doesn't apply to you and I am not talking about you. If all you do is piss and moan about how SG-1 has gone down the tubes because this or that character is gone or this or that character annoys you then get over it. Turn your channel. Why in heavens name are you inflicting yourself with a show that annoys you? I am boggled.

I completely understand people that say THIS or THAT is really annoying me and here is why. They give a REASON and sometimes even offer up some really constructive ideas that would be beneficial IF TPTB ever took some notice of their fans CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK. But crimeney, I so don't like Mitchell because he doesn't have the experience to lead like Sam does and now SG-1 sucks posted 30 times means nothing except that you have stated your opinion 30 freakin times. We got it the first time and the second and the third.. Were you worried we wouldn't pay attention and all scramble to agree so you had to just keep telling us. all beating us over the head with your continued NON constructive feedback will do is basically get us annoyed.

I read about how people want to be respected on the Forum and then I read a post BY THEM treating another poster like dirt. Funny how the rules only apply when it is YOU being abused. I read posts and threads about how negative the Forum has been getting. Have you read your own posts lately? How positive have YOU been? Are YOU trying to be positive and encouraging to your fellow fan or is it more important that we all know just how smart and right YOU are about everything?

So it all applies, negativity begets negativity. Sure anything you say may not make a difference on the show BUT at least if you make an effort to post constructive feedback about why this or that has alienated you from the shows. Just maybe some other fans will feel the same and express some more concerns in a constructive manner and OMG a discussion will ensue. AND if you don't agree well making stupid comments like *Well don't watch then* is well just about stupid. When fans are making CONSTRUCTIVE COMMENTS and they are negative, its not because they don't like the show. In fact its quite the opposite...they love the show and they are wanting things to be better and are actually trying to make suggestions and EXPLAIN the reasons.

If you can't be mature about a discussion well then I have nothing for you here. My Blog isn't about making you feel all warm and fuzzy about yourself nor is it about making you feel like an out cast. What it is about is StarGate and GateWorld two of my most favorite things :-) and how to be decent about both. Grow up and realize that this is a TV show and the actors don't expect to be fawned all over daily if they do ...well then they don't deserve it. They should EARN it with great performances and luckily for us these guys strive hard to do that. TPTB do need to listen to the fans that spend their $$$ to keep this show up in the ratings and buy the merchandise. So write them, tell them what you think. Good and Bad.

Lastly realize that this Forum...if it seems positive or negative...is all dependent on YOU not the *other* guy...YOU because until you stop laying the blame on everyone else and start paying attention to just yourself and what YOU write then you have no room to bellyache. Because you are not part of the solution just still contributing to the problem and expecting the rest of us to clean up any mess.
