Well Hi there all ....we finally have the bugs worked out of the Blogger system and can regal you with our wit and charm. You missed that terribly didn't you LOL

Ok...so here in the USA we are finally getting to see the final 10 episodes of SG-1. This last Friday was *The Shroud* the Daniel Episode............ Beware all you spoiler phoebes I am going to speak freely here so if you have not seen it yet turn back now :-)

I want to say I was agog!!! But I can't...Up until that episode I have really been happy with SG-1 and I have gone to extreme measures to stay pretty un-spoiled so everything will be fresh and new for me. Since this is the FINAL 10 I really want to get the FULL experience of it.

The back half started off pretty good for me and I have really been enjoying all of the performances of the cast and I was really thrilled to see RDA make an appearence. The *Silver Fox* has *Thunkable* written all over him.... (thats me if I ever meet RDA) The Gutter Gals know what I am talking about hee hee

anyway back to the show.

I was a bit bummed over this last installment. Michael Shanks is a good actor but I just was not impressed in this outing. He didn't nail this at all as far as I am concerned. Whatever mood or energy he was trying to create in his performance was lost somewhere between the filming and the editing. So I am not sure where the ball was actually dropped, regardless the episode that should have made the Fandom make the *Collective Gasp Heard round the World* was more of a haggard groan me thinks.

I did catch an earlier season episode in syndication later in the weekend on FOX and I was once again reminded how much I like Ben Browder as an actor and how much I believe TPTB have floundered in writing his character.

The scenes for next week look to be interesting and possibly Ben will have something he can sink his teeth into and show his range as an actor for once, something he has not been able to do so far IMHO at all during his tenure with SG.

I have enjoyed all of the other cast members in the first few episodes. Sam was riveting and very believable when she got shot. Amanda turned in a stellar performance in that episode. I being a *Sam/Jack Shipper* of course loved the reference to the *Fishing Folder* :-)

But like many of the Shipper community the fact that TPTB played the fans on that relationship a bit too long, fanned the flames of both sides of the fence and even went so far as to say derogatory things about the fandom because of both the *Ship and Anti-ship* folk. I lost respect for them as well as trust in their product. So I quit telling people to watch. Not because my *ship* didn't end the way I wanted, but because the people producing the show didn't respect the fact that they do put out an *Entertainment Product* that is based on fan recognition and fan word of mouth.

I am still here watching every week so I am not completely disenchanted with the show (grin) But, I can't in good faith continue to promote a group of men that don't seem to remember that the reason they got 10 seasons is because FANS watched and FANS paid $$ for the products. So I don't run around telling everyone I know all about this *Awesome Show* they MUST see. Now I loan out my DVDS if asked and I promote the Actors as best I can. I do try to keep up with what the cast is doing and follow them to new projects so the new PTB know that that Actor has a fan base and that Actor is a great investment :-)

I am hopeful that Fans across the USA will plan and execute Finale Parties and gather together to enjoy the final episode ... similar to what they did over in the UK. I know I will be doing some promotion for that very thing here in Arizona...so any of you out there that live close to Mesa.... be sure to holler at me if you read this and want to get involved.

In the end...Its all about US..the fans and what we get out of not only the show but our camaraderie here at GW... and THAT my friends is priceless!!!
