Normally I'm a man of few words ...
It would almost be impossible to come up with a single word that described my time at Gatecon 2003. "Outstanding" is one word that leaps to mind. "Phenomenal" would be another. Borrowing several words from Jack O'Neill, "We came, we saw, we played with Heru-ur's big pup, we had a little fun with the baggage claim, we went home! It's a great story! ... Isn't it?"
Fabulous. That's the word I was looking for.
When I stepped aboard GateWorld early this year as its most virgin staffer, I didn't have any idea that I would be representing us in the biggest Stargate convention in North America. I would have to say I was luckier than most of the people that were there when it came to talking with the actors. Don't worry, I didn't break any rules. No formal interviews were conducted, but I was allowed general conversation which injected several interesting bits of information. I even gathered some spoilers!
