William Adama BATTLESTAR GALACTICA - CHARACTERS
WILLIAM ADAMA
Edward James Olmos

The aging commander of the Battlestar Galactica, Adama is a relaxed and seasoned veteran. He is solitary, and old enough to have fought in the first war against the Cylons. After the Cylons wipe out all the fleet's other battlestars, Adama finds himself in command of the fleet, hungry to avenge the death of billions of humans -- until the new President orders him to flee into deep space with the survivors.

Adama is estranged from his son Lee, who blames him for the death of his brother Zak.
