LAURA ROSLIN Mary McDonnell
Her position as Kobol's education secretary made Laura Roslin 43rd in the line of succession
to be the President, should anything happen to the world leader. Roslin has recently learned
that she has breast cancer. And when the Cylon’s sneak attack annihilates the human
government, Roslin finds herself appointed as the new President.
She is intelligent and decisive, tough but classy. President Roslin must forge a relationship
with Commander Adama, after ordering him to abandon hope of
striking back at the Cylons -- and instead flee into deep space to preserve humankind.
