BATTLESTAR GALACTICA NEWS
Michelle Forbes is Admiral Cain
WEDNESDAY - JULY 6, 2005

Michelle Forbes
Actress Michelle Forbes has been cast in the pivotal role of Admiral Nelena Cain, radio program Subject2discussion has reported. Forbes is best known to science fiction fans as Ensign Ro Laren on Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Forbes takes on the role made famous by Lloyd Bridges in the original Battlestar Galactica, first appearing in the mid-season finale "Pegasus." When the crew encounters a second battlestar that survived the Cylon attack on the Twelve Colonies, Commander Adama must defer to Cain as his superior officer (story).

In addition to her years in a recurring role on The Next Generation, 38-year-old Forbes has appeared in such series as 24, Homicide: Life On the Street, Alias, The District, and Seinfeld.

"Pegasus" is expected to air in September on The SCI FI Channel in the U.S.
