BATTLESTAR GALACTICA NEWS
Official: Galactica gets Season Three
WEDNESDAY - NOVEMBER 16, 2005

The SCI FI Channel has officially renewed its top-rated series Battlestar Galactica for a third season, the network announced today. The entire cast will return for another 20 episodes, along with producers Ronald D. Moore and David Eick.

Production will begin in Vancouver this February for a premiere later in 2006 -- most likely in the summer, alongside the already confirmed third season of Stargate Atlantis and tenth season of Stargate SG-1.

Battlestar Galactica stars Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, Katee Sackhoff, Jamie Bamber, James Callis, Tricia Helfer, and Grace Park. The show is a favorite among fans and critics alike, and is currently SCI FI's highest-rated show.

All-new episodes return to SCI FI January 6, as Season Two finishes with another 10 episodes Fridays at 10 p.m. Eastern/Pacific.
