BATTLESTAR GALACTICA NEWS
Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance now airing

Friday - September 8, 2006 | by Darren Sumner

SciFi.com has begun twice-weekly installments of a 10-part original online series! Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance fills in the gaps between Seasons Two and Three with ten short "webisodes," featuring some Galactica cast members and some new characters.

The series tells the story of a resistance movement that arises among some of the Colonials, now under Cylon occupation on the planet New Caprica ("Lay Down Your Burdens, Part 2"). Led by former Colonel Saul Tigh (Michael Hogan) and Chief Galen Tyrol (Aaron Douglas), the fledgling movement attempts to enlist the aid of former Viper pilots Duck (Tucker Clellan) and Jammer (Dominic Zaprogna).

New, two- to three-minute episodes will be released at SciFi.com every Tuesday and Thursday at midnight between now and the October 6 television premiere of Battlestar Galactica's third season. The first two episodes of The Resistance are available now.

(Thanks to Rich Handley, Joel Larson, charles, and Tereasa for the tip!)
