SCI FI launches third annual sweepstakes

Friday - July 15, 2005 | by Darren Sumner

The SCI FI Channel is offering fans a chance to "Get In the Gate" in their third annual sweepstakes.

The winner will receive a trip for two to Vancouver, British Columbia, and a walk-on role on Stargate SG-1 or Stargate Atlantis (but not both, as with last year's contest).

Last year's winner, Nathan Flaminio, travelled from Wisconsin to appear as an extra in SG-1's "Moebius, Part 2" (as an Egyptian villager) and Atlantis's "The Siege, Part 2" (as a technician). The previous winner, Bonnie Arbuthnot of Chicago, Illinois, was a White House guest of President Henry Hayes (William Devane) in "Lost City, Part 1."

Both fans are active members of GateWorld Forum!

This year's sweepstakes is open to U.S. residents age 18 and over. Enter online at SciFi.com between July 15 and August 26, 2005. Good luck!

(Thanks to Morjana at SG1-Spoilergate for the tip)
