SCI FI Friday ratings a dead heat

Tuesday - August 2, 2005 | by Darren Sumner

The third week of The SCI FI Channel's Friday night line-up saw equal ratings for all three hit series, for the first time ever. Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Battlestar Galactica each earned a 2.0 average household rating.

Stargate SG-1 finished off its 3-part season premiere with "Origin." The 2.0 rating is a drop of one-tenth of a point from the previous week's episode, and represents more than 2.4 million viewers.

Atlantis followed at 9 p.m. Eastern/Pacific with "Runner," introducing new series regular Jason Momoa ("Ronon Dex"). The 2.0 rating kept the show even with the previous week.

Also even from last week was Battlestar Galactica. "Fragged" aired at 10 p.m.

The shows earned 1.1, 0.9, and 0.6 ratings, respectively, for their late-night reruns.

Meanwhile, part two of the Firefly premiere earned a 1.2 household rating outside of primetime, down one-tenth of a point from the previous week.

Stay tuned to SCI FI for new episodes this Friday starting at 8 p.m. Eastern/Pacific!
