Atlantis not 'Rising' in syndication

Thursday - October 13, 2005 | by Darren Sumner

The second half of Stargate Atlantis's series premiere failed to draw as many viewers in the show's second week in U.S. syndication. "Rising, Part 2" earned a 1.5 average household rating the week of September 26, down 12 percent from the 1.7 earned by Part 1.

In off-network news, 24 made its syndication bow during the week of September 26 with a 2.5 rating, according to TV Week. Alias dropped 8 percent to a 2.3, Smallville stayed even with another 1.7, and Enterprise got a much-needed boost to a 1.5 (25 percent).

The Canadian series Da Vinci's Inquest earned a 1.9 in its third week in U.S. syndication.

Ratings for Stargate SG-1's second week in the 2005-2006 syndication broadcast year will be available next week.
