Week 5 ratings rebound slightly

Ratings for Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis matched the season premiere ratings on August 11, rebounding slightly after season-lows the previous week. But SCI FI Channel's ratings woes continue, as the network tries to figure out what happened to a quarter of its audience during the spring break.
SG-1 premiered "Uninvited" in the 9 p.m. (Eastern/Pacific) time slot, earning a 1.4 average household rating. This is an increase of one-tenth of a point from the previous week.
Atlantis built on its lead-in once again, with the premiere of "Progeny" earning a 1.6 rating at 10 p.m. This is a boost of two-tenths of a point from the previous week.
The late-night reruns drew ratings of 0.9 and 0.7, also improvements over the August 4 episodes.
SCI FI's new lead-in series for Friday nights is off-network returns of Night Stalker, ABC's failed remake from last year. The August 11 episode earned a 0.9 rating at 8 p.m.
The two episodes of Stargate did distinguish themselves in some key demographics, including a summer high for men 25 to 54.
New episodes continue this Friday at 9 p.m. Eastern/Pacific, as former series star Richard Dean Anderson returns for Stargate SG-1's milestone two-hundreth episode, and for a guest appearance on Stargate Atlantis! Tell your friends and family. All of them.
