Week 2 ratings fall 30 percent

New episodes of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis took a major ratings hit on Friday, April 20, with SG-1 falling 30 percent from the mid-season premiere the week before.

"Line In the Sand" aired at 8 p.m. Eastern/Pacific, earning a 1.1 average household rating (Live + Same Day). This is a drop of four-tenths of a point from the previous week.

Atlantis followed at 9 p.m. with "Echoes." The episode earned a 1.2 rating, down 15 percent (two-tenths of a point) from the previous week.

Late-night reruns of the episodes earned ratings of 0.8 and 0.7, respectively.

SCI FI Friday finished with Painkiller Jane at 10 p.m. The second episode of the new original series earned a 1.0 rating (rounded up from 0.95), down 26 percent from its premiere.

New episodes continue this Friday at 8 p.m. Eastern/Pacific!
