For Stargate fans who enjoy seeing their favorite actors in roles besides the ones they've played within the Stargate franchise, a new movie to air this weekend on SCI FI Channel will be a special treat.
Don S. Davis ("General George Hammond" on Stargate SG-1) and Paul McGillion ("Dr. Carson Beckett" on Stargate Atlantis) will co-star in "Beyond Loch Ness," a SCI FI Channel original movie airing in the United States this Saturday, January 5.
Neil Denis ("Rya'c" also appears in the movie as "Chad."
Genre fans may also appreciate having actor Brian Krause in one of the lead roles. Krause previously played whitelighter Leo Wyatt on the hit WB network series Charmed for its entire eight-year run.
Details on the film's plot remain sketchy for the most part. Davis plays a character named Neil Chapman, a scientist whose father was killed by the legendary beast. When reports of the monster surface again, Chapman becomes obsessed with finding the creature -- and destroying it.
McGillion and Krause play characters named Michael and James Murphy, respectively. This may mean the characters are brothers.
"Beyond Loch Ness" airs this Saturday at 9 p.m. Eastern/Pacific on SCI FI Channel.
