1.8 million viewers tuned in to the fifth season premiere of Stargate Atlantis last week, according to SCI FI Channel. "Search and Rescue" earned a 1.3 average household rating (Live + Same Day) on Friday, July 11.
That beats the Season Four premiere (which aired in late September) by one-tenth of a point. According to SCI FI, "Search and Rescue" is up 8 percent in household rating, up 9 percent among viewers age 25 to 54, and up 6 percent among total viewers, compared to "Adrift."
The last new episode, Season Four's finale "The Last Man," scored a 1.5 rating in March.
Atlantis was the #4 cable program for the day among the 25 to 54 demographic, and ranked #5 for viewers 18 to 49 viewers. The premiere also made SCI FI was the number one cable network for men 25 to 54 during the 10 p.m. hour.
Additional ratings numbers for DVR-delayed viewing of episodes are released to networks and studios by Nielsen Media Research approximately three weeks after broadcast, but are usually not reported to the public.
Don't miss this week's brand new episode, "The Seed," Friday at 10 p.m. (9 Central) on SCI FI!
