Stargate visits the Windy City

Gatecon isn't the only North American Stargate convention occurring this weekend.
Cast members from both Stargate series will be in attendance for Creation Entertainment's fifth annual official Chicago Stargate convention, this Friday through Sunday, August 22-24, at the Wyndham O'Hare in Chicago, Illinois.
In attendance for the weekend festivities are David Nykl ("Radek Zelenka") and Chuck Campbell from Stargate Atlantis as well as Michael Shanks ("Daniel Jackson"), Alexis Cruz ("Skaara") and Tony Amendola ("Bra'tac") from Stargate SG-1. Also attending in a rare convention appearance, and his first Stargate-based event, is actor Ben Browder ("Cameron Mitchell") who will appear on Sunday.
As always, this Creation convention will be loaded with activities, from Q&A sessions with all the attending cast members to music video and costume contests, a Friday evening "cabaret", a charity breakfast, and more! Attendees will also get the chance to see this week's latest all-new (and highly anticipated) Atlantis episode, "The Shrine," prior to its airing on the SCI FI channel in the United States.
