Yet another title for the first season of Stargate Universe has emerged, once again courtesy of series writer and consulting producer Joseph Mallozzi (blog). “Water” is in the number five spot in the production order, and maintains the naming convention established by the previously announced episodes “Air” and “Earth”.
Nothing is currently known about the episode, though it may deal with the crew’s need to find water after finding themselves trapped on board an Ancient ship in another galaxy.
“Water” is being written by Carl Binder, who joined the production team in the second season of Stargate Atlantis. Binder will produce Universe, alongside series creators Brad Wright and Robert Cooper. Mallozzi said that he, Paul Mullie, and Martin Gero will serve as consultants on the show, with Mallozzi and Mullie writing the mid-season two-parter as well as the upcoming Stargate Atlantis movie.
At least one new writer is being sought, as well as freelance pitches.
Head over to GateWorld’s SGU Season One episode guide to read more about the show, which begins filming next month for a summer premiere. Mallozzi also said recently that additional casting decisions have been made, so we hope to have news on that front very soon!
OMG! Air… Earth… and now Water… can ANYONE guess what the next episode title will be? Maybe FIRE???!!!
I was hoping for CAPTAIN PLANET!
Hahaha. LOL. I was thinking the same thing.
FIRE? Hell, how did you find out about that??? Do you have background info we don’t know of?!? C’mon, tell us everything! Oo ^^
OOOHHHH – All eyes on Gateworld for that all important cast annoucement! How Exciting!
Oh come really, Air, Earth, Water
Premises —- Air: getting life support systems stable and functioning, Earth: crew looks for way to get back to/contact Stargate Command, Water: Crew needs fresh supplies, — next Fire: crew becomes under attack from hostile species previously pissed off , then heart: crew come to terms with situation and begin accepting and helping members they were at odds with
hmmm after their done with the classical elements, do you think they’ll move onto the actual elements? “Hydrogen”, “Helium” etc :P
Also, I think “Fire” is a given but do you think we’ll get one called “Aether” aswell?
Fire…Wind…Water…Earth….Air…GO CAPTAIN PLANET! Hey, thats who Young is! Lol…but really. This is just weird…why are these episodes being called that?
Dammit, just beaten on the Captain Planet joke.
Episode 7 will be called: Heart!
watch, the next one’s going to be Fire
Can’t wait.
I’m really thinking this is joke… i mean seriously? They have to be pulling our chains with leaking a title “Water”.
If it is really Earth Wind and Fire, maybe they can get the real EWF to write music for or appear in the show.
LOL
They are working titles don’t get all pissed off about it. The will most likely change when the show actually airs… They could have made the working titles 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, if they wanted..
Names of the episodes is incredibly original. :) I’m sure, it is possible to expect the series under the name “Fire”, “Tree”, “Metal”, and, maybe, “Ether”. It’s loooks like Feng Shui, if my thought moves in the correct direction, this is not bad idea. The Universe consists of these elements.
These titles cant be final. If they were it would be really lame.
uggghhh!!! the more i hear of universe the more i dread it. prob gonna be the shortest sg run ever. watch it do the firefly- 3 eps and out. and whats with the titles? water, air? this isn’t right! better have a really good cast with really hot actors. lol.
Oh come on, you can’t honestly tell me that the name of the episode matters. Here’s your premise– new crew trying to figure out the city (I mean ship), they encounter a few life support snags with the city’s (I mean ship’s) ancient technology… etc. etc. etc.
