Rock on SGA you were and are best.
Atlantis Rocks | May 13 @ 3:49 am“AND THEY AXED THIS FOR SGU!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
1. That’s not a fact, it’s just speculation.
2. How do you know SGU won’t do better when it becomes eligible? It’s got Robert Carlyle, Ming Na, Lou Diamond Philips and what sounds like a very promising group of newcomers, there’s nothing to say it won’t win awards too.
Congrats to SGA, SG:Continuum, and to Amanda for winning best female lead performance too. Hopefully we’ll be saying congratulations to SGU in a year or two.
sgferrit | May 13 @ 7:47 amthat is awesome news even though stupid people at sci fi and nbc kicked sga to the curb it is still getting nominated and winning awards!!. congrats to SGA and keep on winning those awards ill continue watching my dvd sets.
mrs john sheppard | May 13 @ 11:55 amSgferrit, your welcome to your opinion, as I am to mine, in answer to your questions.
“AND THEY AXED THIS FOR SGU!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. That’s not a fact, it’s just speculation”
You can believe what you want to believe, SGA is axed an we now have (B)SG U, IMHO I believe that it was axed in favour of “THIS” and I’ve lost my favourite weekly show.
“2. How do you know SGU won’t do better when it becomes eligible? It’s got Robert Carlyle, Ming Na, Lou Diamond Philips and what sounds like a very promising group of newcomers, there’s nothing to say it won’t win awards too”
The thing is I don’t care, I’m not watching it, NOT INTERESTED, don’t like Robert Carlyle never really have, don’t know LDP all that well and don’t know any of the rest, also I don’t like the look of the cast line up or the bio’s IMO there horrible, again I don’t like docu style filming, don’t like dark and depressing, didn’t like BSG. Therefore there is nothing I like about SGU, so I choose not watch.
Sorry SGA was my favourite show and I’m so please they have won these awards the cast & crew deserve it for giving us 5 awesome seasons for me this is Stargate, others can have SGU not for me.
Atlantis Rocks | May 13 @ 3:38 pmyay for everyone that won! :D
(special YAY for amanda winning for sanctuary’s ‘requiem’!! :D)
majorsal | May 13 @ 6:00 pmWay to go SGA congrats to the cast you deserve it, what a HUGE mistake they made in dropping SGA for SGU Stupid MOVE.
I hope that SGU bottoms out because I for one as well as a lot of my friends and family will not be watching it. They did IMO ax SGA for SGU and then tell us that we will get a movie or 2 RIGHT I won’t be holding my breath they just told us that to get us to watch SGU. Well I hope it hits rock bottom and from what I have heard about it I’m sure it will LOL.
Buddybear | May 13 @ 8:59 pmCongratulations to all the winners–and especially to the cast and crew of SGA. Well deserved, Atlantis!
And I have to say that I agree completely with the comments by Atlantis Rocks. Couldn’t have said it better myself!
solista | May 13 @ 9:38 pmI have to agree with the others here, I also believe SGA was axed for SGU. And these awards which are so well deserve just show HOW great a show this was, its also previously won the peoples choice awards. Sorry but what does this say to TPTB.
WELL DONE to the cast and crew a BIG hearty THANK YOU for giving us this great show, YOU deserve the all the accolade going, because its you guys that won this, NOT TPTB they lost when this show was axed.

Atlantis Rocks | May 15 @ 7:10 amOnly just find out about Atlantis, still cant believe it. GOB SMACKED in fact! To do this well with the awards an still be canned just “gob smacked”. KNEW YOU COULD DO IT GUYS, well done, its really deserved. Don’t worry coz SGU will never match up, it will always be SGA/SG1.SGU sucks big time. Thanks Atlantis to the Cast and Crew your the best guys.
Joycelm2 | May 16 @ 12:03 pmI’m kinda surprised they only got 12 awards.
Btw, SGA was cancelled for SGU.
It’s a fact. Wright and Mallozzi have said as much in interviews around the time the were talking about starting up SGU. They clearly stated why they chose not to do 2 series simultaneously.
There is no speculation on this matter.
