As we reported last week, MGM’s new Stargate Web site gives fans the first look at — and virtual tour of — the Destiny’s Gate Room. The 3D tour was accomplished using Microsoft’s Photosynth and Silverlight technologies, composited from a series of high-resolution photos taken on Stargate Universe’s standing set in Vancouver.
Now that you’ve had some time to go hunting around the Destiny on your own, we’ve added a ton of photos from the ship’s corridor and Gate Room to the Stargate Gallery! There you’ll find over 100 photo-quality screen caps from the virtual tour, including the closest and clearest look at the SGU Stargate ever.
Be sure to check out the tour for yourself! There you can explore close-up details and look 360 degrees around the room, and examine the Destiny corridor.
Additional parts of the ship will be added in the weeks ahead.

Looking at that, the bottom part of the gate is under the floor.. so when it activates, won’t the er.. *whoosh* blow a big hole in the floor?
Adzyboy | July 15 @ 5:15 am!! Have you EVER watched stargate?!
The kawoosh has never effected the SG1 metal floor, or it’s handrails, that leads up to the gate.

Jayenkai | July 15 @ 6:06 am(Just found that on Google Images.. BLOODY ‘ELL!! That’s fantastic!!)
Looks amazing, I love steam-punk and it looks very similar.
kzap333 | July 15 @ 6:31 amIt does look a little dark but we don’t know until we have seen it lit in the show, I still have my doubts about the show itself but that room look AWESOME!
Awesome! Thanks for adding those pics here! Those guys at Bridge Studios sure know how to build sets! The Destiny looks fantastic! Hopefully more will be revealed in time!
Alan | July 15 @ 7:05 amLooking good. :)
Ugly Pig | July 15 @ 9:19 amThe ship looks nothing like I expected, but I still like it. Can’t wait for the other parts to be added.
desertfox2020 | July 15 @ 11:44 amAnd No, the kwoosh won’t, it never does on Atlantis, or SGC for that matter.

The ship looks nice, its consistent with its age. Looking at the close up pictures of the gate its the milky way version only inverted, instead of the inner track spinning the outer ring its the one that spins and the inner one apparently doesnt move.
Hopefully the inner circle spins in oposite direction, it would lokk way cool, kind of like trying to unlock a safe. Still eagerly awaiting to see the exterior of the Destiny. Hopefully ist going to be a great design.
Horcrux | July 15 @ 12:05 pmThanks for the pics guys. I dont like dark colours though. But as SGU is darker they have to make it like this I suppose. Would have been nice to see what kind of colours of lights they have on the gate. Thankts to those who created the new Gate etc.
Jazz | July 16 @ 8:37 amThe colors of the chevrons and symbols are white, you can see this in the newest trailer where you can see the gate spinning.
Horcrux | July 16 @ 12:09 pmI have been away so first seeing these pics, but that gate does not look “straight” to me.
JackHarkness_Hot | July 17 @ 5:11 pmHorcrux thanks I missed that one. Go and see it now.
Jazz | July 18 @ 4:16 ami have to agree with Adzyboy it does feel a bit wierd that it is positioned in the floor even though Jayenkai does make a point with the SG-1 gate aswell.
xiapho | July 18 @ 8:49 amBut the gate and the ship(what we have seen of it) does look realy awsome they have done a nice job with it.
Just remembered I posted that comment.
Adzyboy | July 21 @ 4:12 pmI never actually really noticed that the steps and the ramp lead that high up, I always just thought they ended at the bottom of the gate somewhere.
Watched every episode and never noticed that tiny little thing :S
