Spy photos, video from the set of SGU’s ‘Human’

Filming has commenced for “Human,” the fourteenth episode of Stargate Universe. The cast and crew are currently on location at the University of British Columbia, where one attentive fan found the (public) shoot and snapped some pictures. They’re at GateWorld Forum right now.

“Xanderic” also managed to capture a video of a scene being filmed, with actor Robert Carlyle (”Nicholas Rush”) and guest star Michael Shanks (“Daniel Jackson”). Watch it below:

“Human” features flashbacks to when Rush was recruited into the Stargate program (about two years ago), which seems to account for his interaction with Daniel on Earth.

The episode is being directed by Robert C. Cooper, co-creator of the third Stargate TV series.

Stargate Universe premieres Friday, October 2 on Syfy in the U.S.!

What amazes me is that was being filmed…but there didn’t seem to be any film or sound crew about? Just how far can they pull back from Robert Carlyle and Michael Shanks and still make that scene work? The cameras sure must have one hell of a zoom function on them! LOL

Even though you can’t really hear much of what is being said other than Daniel shouted: Dr/Mr? Rush! the body language tells us alot of what is happening in that scene.

this take could just be for the wider shots. close ups and such would be in another take.
