Sounds promising. Can´t wait!

Wonder what the secret on the planet is? Sounds like we get to wait some more to find out about the alien pod from earlier in the season…

Maybe it’ll be a black hole, an alien armada, an alien space station, an alien cruiser, an alien colony… it could be anything.

Yeah, or it could be a secret sex scene of SGU.

Exactly, ten bucks that the whole point of this episode is yet again based on the bloody stones.

I sincerely hope that the stones are thrown out the airlock in an upcoming episode. They are getting more tv time than some of the primary roles are.

XD I lol’d really hard at the end of that second vid, it said “Stargate Universe, an original series” haha best laugh I’ve had so far.
On-topic: I’m actually looking forward to the episode, it looks really promising!

LDP more or less just confirmed via twitter that stones wont be used by saying that there’s no Telford in this episode.

Looking forward to it :)

I hope they can build on the momentum of the episode “Time”. It was the closest thing to the first two series of Stargate that I’ve seen so far. Whichever writer wrote Time needs to get more of a say on the rest of the episodes IMO.

I think a lot of people will agree with you on that ‘dontfreakout’ as do I.

Who is that civilian in this episode, who leaves with Dr. Franklin to get their rooms searched. What is her background story? Is she a Dr as well?

Scott Watson

@frannyloo think shes one of the randoms, there’s 80+ people on the Destiny they don’t all need to have back stories. @Yxelione where’s my ten bucks lol, ye the stones were mentioned but not actually seen being used. Anyway was quite a good episode (though I would say that ‘Time’ was a little better). I would be willing to bet that the shuttle they found on the planet is from the same aliens that left the Destiny at the end of ‘Air’ part 3. Be interesting to see those aliens in the future. Rush will most likely either manage to… Read more »

Boring. Again. OH NO THE SECRET ON THE PLANET THREATENS THE DESTINY! What secret is that exactly? The planet got what, 4 minutes of screentime? How does a crashed ship threaten destiny exactly. This show goes from bad to worse. It was obvious from the get go it was going to be Rush because of the producers/writers continuing to force this tense relationship between the two of them. So, it’s perfectly fine for young to abandon Rush on the planet, effectively making him a murderer now, and Eli just plays along for the hell of it? The only redeeming feature… Read more »

I really liked “Justice” and I hate Syfy. Because now we have to wait til March or April to see the rest of this season so that they can show Caprica.

Who cares about it, the last two seasons of BSG were torture. Congress should investigate what those writers did to the people that loved the first two seasons.

Just show whole seasons start to finish.

JUSTICE was my favorite episode so far. It was incredibly put together, just great in every way. Good Job!!! And, I agree. Now, to have to wait until March or April for the rest.

What the heck was that episode about? A Hardy boys murder mystery? I am still trying to figure out How Rush jumped to the conclusion the chair was an Archive device prototype, just by looking at it. It’s like someone looking at a flashlight and saying that’s an early prototype of a handheld particle beam weapon, or even, a lightsaber. They are talking about character development. Didn’t Rush consider the good ship Destiny, also a character? So why the heck don’t they freaking stick to Scifi and develop that character, without giving us their version of Love Story, or an… Read more »

A better episode, but not by much. These characters are unlikeable. Even the Commanding Officer is a loser. SGU continues to be a sucking head wound.

Frackin amazing. Where are all the people who love this show Darren? I guess they all work for the production company. I said I would watch them all as to give it a chance. I did and now it is over for me. The show just does not hold my interest. It is however a great replacement for my Ambien. Stargate’s beginnings was of course the move of the same name. Even though the movie wasn’t as camp as the TV show it had flow and it had the bad guys and the good guys. It had action and zat’s… Read more »

Well this was pretty much the best SGU episode so far. It has a good cliffhanger at the end which leaves me wanting to see how the story will develop. Though it leaves me wanting to see it RIGHT NOW instead of in about 5 months. I wish they’d have these sort of cliffhangers more often. Thankfully the @%#$& communication stones weren’t a focalpoint in this episode. Though I find it a pity that they were mentioned. This wouldn’t have been necessary in this episode. On the other hand having Wray discuss how the matter would best be handled with… Read more »

To sum it up very short. It’s a cliffhanger using character conlict climax, barely scifi.

Remind me of that CSI style SGA ep in vegas.

This is a realy bad omen of there non scifi focus. It’s way out of balance.

I would more expect a ep like time with more aktion and adventure. More balance.

Way to go, SGU! Now I know what a modern show means. Old SG heroes were always fighting FOR each other, those fight AGAINST each other. Not a single person to admire, to relate to, to care about. I even got a perverse feeling of satisfaction at such a hilarious turn as kicking out the chief scientist off the ship! Winderfully performed total iversion of all I held dear in Stargate series previously. History witnesses that a moral corruption always preceeded a downfall of all great civilizations…

I wanted to like SGU. And there are a few things to like: great camera work, set pieces, premise, etc. But overall the show is not enjoyable. I really dislike the direction the show has taken in regard to use of the communication stones (which had GREAT potential), and the forced sexual situations. I also think, as many people do, that the main characters are not likeable. Like WillKatt said, it seems now the show is about fighting against each other, rather than fight for each other or some greater purpose. I’d love season 2 to be a reboot where… Read more »

With all the bad comments about the show out there, I really like SGU because of the fact that it is swaying away from the stargate franchise abit. I like the character building and the rawness of the show. I agree with the other comments on here that say the stones are used alot. If they are supposed to be alone then why do they have direct contact with earth. I liked it in Atlantis that they couldn’t ring up big brother for advice in the first season. I second the motion that the stones should be blown out of… Read more »

I could buy into all this backstabbing and nasty characteristics if these people were some stranded prison ship or something similiar. They all act like criminals anyway with no redeeming qualities and we are meant to care what happens to them. I couldnt care less if we never saw Rush again, in fact that would be a plus for me. I really wouldnt mind if we never saw any of them again. No way would this lot of whacky out of control nuts be put in charge of one of the most highly secretive and important discoveries of our time.

Whats really sad is that SGU is the last remaining space-based sci-fi. Or atleast it’s supposed to be. And instead of great action adventure with spaceships and planets and aliens we got garbage… with human garbage. Rest in peace, real sci-fi.

That’s what always bothered me about the spoilers/reactions I read about: “the wrong people in the wrong place” – but they should NOT be the wrong people otherwise they would never have gotten into the SG program in the first place. SGC always employed the best of the best in the world. People as portrayed in this show would never get through a basic psychological screening. When it’s not outright hysterics, it’s psychopathic behavior bordering on sociopath urges. How DID they get in the SG program in the first place? Is the US military/government agencies in general that slack-ish when… Read more »

Have these terms banned from comments about SGU is like having the word “Stargate” banned from GateWorld, you know…
The whole SGU show is based on that. You like it, or you don’t, and people can express what they think. It’s comforting to see I’m not the only one to be disapointed :/

I actually liked this ep. Not who’s sleeping with who, no stones. Closer to stargate than we’ve seen in a while. This I could except as stargate a little different yes, but certainly better that anything else we’ve seen (except time of course)

Wow. Having read this I wonder how many viewers these past few weeks have been people giving the show season 1.0 to make their decision and are now fleeing. I will ontinue watching myself if only to see Stargate through to its bitter end. I stayed for Enterprise and chuckled as it died just as it got good. I mean REALLY good. The lesson to take from that was in the way it began: the makers were afraid to acknowledge the link between Star Trek lore and the new series. As that irked fans, and the show struggled to find… Read more »

@zackwbrandon it could go that way or be like BSG. It was bashed by fans of the original series but what it became was something that surpassed the original. I personally like SGU and can see the potential of amazing stories (especially after ‘Justice’). If those who don’t see that then fair enough, its 10 episodes in why are you still watching?. How long will some people continue to watch something they don’t like just to see if it becomes closer to its predecessors?. Everyone is entitled to there opinion and I am glad some people are giving it a… Read more »
