Syfy Channel has released its broadcast schedule for May (via Syfy.com), including another three all-new episodes of Stargate Universe! Here is the list:
May 7 – “Sabotage”
May 14 – “Pain”
May 21 – “Subversion”
SGU will not air on May 28 due to the Memorial Day holiday weekend, when Syfy traditionally airs marathons and other special programming. That Friday it’s a day-long marathon of Syfy’s original creature movies.
As expected, this puts the first season finale of Stargate Universe on Friday, June 11.
Each week’s new episode will be repeated the following Friday at 8 p.m., just before the next episode’s premiere.
Elsewhere on the May schedule, Syfy will continue airing repeats of Stargate Atlantis at 5 p.m. (E/P) and SG-1 at 6 p.m. Atlantis will be up to the second half of Season Three and the first part of Season Four. SG-1 will be airing the end of Season Eight and most of Season Nine in May.
Friday nights also bring classic two-parters for those willing to stay up late (1 a.m. to 3 a.m.).
Learn more about these and other upcoming episodes of Stargate Universe in GateWorld’s Season One episode guide! A brand new episode, “Divided,” airs this Friday at 9 p.m. (8 Central) on Syfy.

hopefully the viewer ratings continue to climb to keep the network happy. this show idea is original and the action keeps picking up! can’t wait for the end of season 1 with lucian alliance back in the picture (or at least that’s what is sounds like)
Wow, when will the new season start? October? I miss the July premieres.
I really worry that the viewing figures will continue to slide. I was so disappointed by the Space figures. I honestly can’t see that having the Lucian Alliance will do any good. Just the reverse in fact. its very worrying.
Not the Lucian Alliance!!
They should nip that idea in the bud. They were all a bunch of Barneys!
I think we’ve realized that filming an entire year before gauging fan reaction to a new series isn’t a good idea. Did these people even do test screenings or research? You’ll have to admit even the die hards on this site don’t seem to be too happy with the re-cycling of the Lucian Alliance.
I’d rather have Baal gate to Destiny.
It depends on how they use the Lucian Alliance– I always felt they were underutilized in SG-1. They had the potential to be a fun, almost pirate-like enemy.
Unfortunately, they came across as, mostly, uninteresting drug dealers. I hope that they have revamped the Lucian alliance– show their motivations and how, in their opinion, it is actually Earth who is the bad guy (the Lucian alliance would be taking over Destiny for the good of the galaxy, not for power).
I was hoping since the Destiny is so far away from the Milky Way that they would come up with another alien race, like they did in “Space.” I’m not totally opposed to a Lucian Alliance episode but would prefer it not be a big episode like the season finale.

Lucian Alliance taking over Destiny for the good of the galaxy???
How does that in any way fit their profile?
to me if the Lucian Alliance could get to Destiny then why can’t the daedalus? It is far more advanced in travel etc then the old Gouald ships
That is a good point with the Daedalus being more advanced over the “Luciants” (thanks to the Asgard). Why can’t they contact Destiny now despite the power issue on this ship? *speculation* it would seem there is a mole on Destiny ‘Ancient stoning’ info back to Earth who in turn gives it to Luciant Alliance??? I don’t know – the IOA person on Earth seems not to be trusted. O’Niell doesn’t seem to fully support the guy from Air part 1 or 2 (I can’t remember his name.) There is not much story line there at the moment to say… Read more »
The Lucian Alliance allow them to have a low SFX enemy. Combined with the producer’s need for character melodrama (I won’t call it character drama), its a good way for them to keep things moving without having the aliens appear too often.
They’ll have to retool them extensively of course, since they were comic relief at best on SG-1, but with the ‘lower powered’ nature of Universe, they present more of a realistic threat for it, whereas even McKay or Daniel could probably take them out on their own in the other series.
Yes, the Lucian Alliance are the absolute cheapest “enemies” they could manage. Not even rubber noses required. Although this season one work is all “in the can” and paid for I expect cost was a factor. Very few of these sci fi shows ever get larger budgets thru their run. The LA would save costs, retain some sort of connection with Stargate (something that decidedly lacking sofar) and allow them to pool money for other episodes such as two parters, sweeps, or season endings. They’re still not at the point where they can sneak in a clips show.
