Stargate SG-1‘s Richard Dean Anderson has joined the Twitterverse!
Hot on the heels of this weekend’s announcement that Anderson will appear in a recurring role in the new USA Network series Facing Kate (story), the actor is now tweeting at Twitter.com/AndersonRDean.
His first messages show that he is now in Vancouver filming on the series. “ Waiting again. I must be working … again. Vancouver again. Again with the joys of semi-retirement.”
Anderson played Jack O’Neill for eight seasons on SG-1, and has made return appearances in Stargate Atlantis, Stargate Universe, and the 2008 DVD movie Stargate: Continuum.
The authenticity of the new account was confirmed by the actor’s official Web site, RDAnderson.com.
Awesome. Thank you for the heads-up! :)
I’m follower #587! :-D
*follows* Awesome, indeed! :D
Yay RDA!!!
So this must be why Twitter has been broken most of the morning today.
Yay (tjohoo) – great news, I’m there. Thanks GW (wish he could have joined another series :)
I’m follower #2,232. He’d be the last person I would think to start a twitter page.
I think his daughter pushed him into it – he doesn’t understand what it is *g*
You know what? In the SG-series. I would love to seem him converse with Todd the Wraith…Awhaa, that would be quite a scene. Both having that drywit and deadly humor
I waited for this day. *cue the SG-1 intro music*
Ya, I’m a follower now. I guess his daughter is his twitter manager. I’m looking 4ward to more tweets.
