The third season of Syfy Channel’s Sanctuary is coming back for another 10 episodes. Syfy announced today that the show will resume on Friday, April 15 at 10 p.m. (E/P).
This year’s storyline will pick up where the mid-season cliffhanger left off, with the team at the mercy of Ranna (played by Caprica‘s Polly Walker).
Season Three will have 20 episodes in total, making it the longest season of Sanctuary to date. Seasons One and Two had 13 episodes each. The show has been renewed for a fourth season, which will go back to 13 episodes (story).
This will put the season finale in late June. Season Four is expected to premiere in the fall.
Sanctuary stars Amanda Tapping (Stargate‘s Samantha Carter), Robin Dunne, Ryan Robbins (Stargate Atlantis‘s Ladon Radim), Agam Darshi, and Christopher Heyerdahl (Atlantis‘s Todd the Wraith).

Wish it was on a different channle in the US…I refuse to watch the Syfy channle anymore
SyFy really don’t know how to be a quality TV channel any more, and it pains me. It’s huge mid-season breaks that interrupts viewers’ enjoyment of the shows they love and detaches you from the show for months on end. Bad show SyFy. That being said, I’m glad Sanctuary is *FINALLY* back.

A wonderful show with a great cast. Amanda Tapping has been good (better than good, actually) in everything she has done, and she brings that same acting skill and appeal to her lead role in Sanctuary. I hope this show has a long run, as that is exactly what it deserves.
The only reason to watch Syfy since Stargate atlantis left.
I love this show it is the only one I watch on that channel and Eureka But i don’t follow every episode of Eureka.
