New Tok'ra reported for Season Four
Vanessa Angel rumored to play the recurring character
April 11, 2000

An alt.tv.stargate-sg1 poster identifying himself as Jonathan Zaleski, public relations
coordinator for "Stargate SG-1," has reported that a new recurring character will be
introduced early on this next season.
According to the report, Vanessa Angel will play a beautiful Tok'ra (Goa'uld resistence
operative) named Anise. Anise's host name is Freya. Anise is an archaeologist - perhaps
providing a future romantic interest for Daniel Jackson.
Zaleski reports: "Anise/Freya is an intelligent, strikingly beautiful Tok'ra sent to
Stargate Command originally to test recently uncovered armband devices on SG-1 in the
episode 'Upgrades' Anise/Freya also appears in 'Crossroads' and 'Divide and Conquer.'
Anise, the Goa'uld, is an archeologist who at times can be very abrasive in her directness.
Jack O'Neill prefers to deal with her human host, Freya."
British-born, 33-year-old Vanessa Angel is known for her work as Lisa, the
computer-generated vixen on the TV series version of "Weird Science" (USA Networks). She
has also appeared as Claudia in the film "Kingpin," and as a Russian in "Spies Like Us."
Angel has had recurring roles on "Baywatch," "Melrose Place" and "Veronica's Closet."
