Three questions with Vanessa Angel
Cinescape talks to Tok'ra actress

July 19, 2000

Cinescape.com has posted a short interview with actress Vanessa Angel, the latest addition to the cast of recurring characters on "Stargate SG-1." Angel, who plays Tok'ra scientist Anise, made her debut on the show in last week's "Upgrades."

In her comments to Cinescape, Angel hinted at what is to come for her character - including a twisted Tok'ra love triangle:

"I did three episodes and I'm going to go back and do some more next month," she said. In the third episode, my host character is interested in Richard Dean Anderson's character [Colonel O'Neill]. And then the other one, the symbiote, is interested in Michael Shanks' character [Dr. Daniel Jackson]. There's a possibility of going in that direction for each of the characters, which would be kind of interesting."

Anise / Freya will return in this week's "Crossroads," as well as "Divide and Conquer" on July 28.
