Scientist who traveled to the Pegasus Galaxy with the members of the original Atlantis expedition. He and Dr. Brendan Gall accompanied Dr. Rodney McKay and Major John Sheppard to investigate an Ancient weapons platform that had been discovered on Atlantis's sensors. Before investigating the satellite the Puddle Jumper detected a Wraith distress signal. With Dr. Elizabeth Weir's blessing Sheppard decided to take the scientists and investigate the disturbance. Several minutes after entering the downed Wraith cruiser Abrams and Gall encountered a Wraith commander who had recently awoke from hibernation. It pushed Gall aside and sucked the life force out of Abrams, killing him. PLAYED BY - FIRST APPEARED - The Defiant One
