Major in the United States military who was stationed at Stargate Command during the first weeks of General Jack O'Neill's tenure as leader of the base. He reported an injured security guard who had been attacked by Anubis (in Airman Malcolm McCaffrey's body).
Later, Major Kearney was deceived by Anubis, who had taken over the General. The entity, in O'Neill, used Major Kearney's cooperation and code key to engage the base's self-destruct. Fortunately, the detonation was averted with minutes to spare by Colonel Samantha Carter.
