Bedrosian archaeologist charged with unburying the Stargate. Nyan considered himself a Bedrosian loyalist, but a scientist first and foremost. Discovering the Optrican theory was correct, he was disappointed but still pleased to find truth, unlike the military leaders in his government. Still, he prayed to Nefertum for guidance. Nyan vouched for SG-1 and their struggle to return to Earth, remaining with Teal'c and repairing his blinded eyes. Shortly after, he helped lay down cover fire for SG-1, and was beckoned to return with them to Earth through the open Stargate. Back on Earth, Nyan was offered a position to become Daniel's research assistant. Since that arrangement he has not been seen, but his services and expertise as a Bedrosian are undoubtedly becoming useful elsewhere. PLAYED BY - Richard Ian Cox FIRST APPEARED - New Ground
