Russian Lieutenant assigned under Colonel Zukhov for a rescue mission to P2X-338. Assigned to patrol an alien ziggurat with Major Samantha Carter, Tolinev was bitten by a creature and was soon rendered unconscious, her internal organs shutting down. When SG-1 broke free of the ziggurat via transport rings she was taken to the S.G.C. infirmary, where she began her recovery.
Having been the only member of the Russian team to survive, she was used as a salvo against SG-1's actions on P2X-338 by Colonel Chekov, but only had good things to say of the team. She returned to Russia with Chekov to be more thoroughly briefed in the confines of her own military.
