CALEDONIAN FEDERATION
Nation which exists opposite the Rand Protectorate. The two have been locked in a state of cold war for decades. Each nation has enough weapons to wipe the other out of existence.
Following the missile strike (stirred by the religious zealot Soren), the Caledonian Federation suffered more direct damage than the Rand Protectorate because of the Rand's more accurate missile guidance systems.
KEY EPISODE(S) -
Icon - Talks to attempt to ease the Caledonian Federation's concerns about offworld travelers and the presence of religious fundamentalists in the Rand culture fail, and the Caledonians bring the planet into war.
Ethon - Caledonia takes in the marooned officers of the destroyed Prometheus. Later, talks break down between the nation and Rand. Both nations are believed to be destroyed.
