P6J-908, PLANT OF
Harmless but resilient alien plant from P6J-908. SG-8, and Dr. Bill Lee, convinced General Jack O'Neill that it was safe to return a sample to Earth. In twenty minutes the sample sprouted from a seed into a plant several inches in height.
Stargate Command's lights increased the size of the plant at a geometric rate, and before long it was crawling through tight, dark corners inside the base. It possessed a unique ability to feed energy to parts of itself that was not exposed to life. It was extremely resilient to fire.
After the plant disabled the power grid, Dr. Lee's team was successful in using gamma radiation to destroy it.
KEY EPISODE(S) -
Zero Hour - SG-8 returns a sample of an alien plant to Stargate Command. Before long, the plant becomes a threat for continued base operations.
