Massive space-fairing rock encased with a substantial deposit of naquadah. Anubis had promised he would annihilate Earth before rejoining the System Lord collective. His first plan was to arrive in or near Earth's solar system with a Ha'tak towing the naquadah-encased asteroid to set on a collision course with earth to appear as a natural disaster, disarming the Asgard of any action in accordance with the Protected Planets Treaty. The asteroid possessed moderate gravity relative to Earth's moon. Forty-five percent of its mass was composed entirely of naquadah which, if detonated by a nuclear device, would ignite Earth's atmosphere and boil the oceans. Major Carter calculated the collision to be in the vicinity of Greenland or the Barents Sea. SG-1 was eventually able to use a downed Tok'ra tel'tak to blanket the entire asteroid in a hyperspace window just long enough to pass it through Earth and out the other side.
