World that once contained a substantial human population, the Talthuns. Talthus was subjected to a solar flare that engulfed the planet after a dark star passed too close to the planet's sun. The entire population was believed to have been destroyed. The only survivors were those who escaped the flare's radiation in three sleeper ships on a course for the world of Ardena. One of the three, the Stromos, crashed on P2A-347 en route, and was discovered by SG-1.
