Two-man attack vessel designed for combat in both space and an atmosphere. Death gliders are outfitted with broadcast speakers to allow the pilots to terrorize the populations beneath verbally, as well as with their weapons. They are outfitted with removable staff cannons, two to three times larger than standard staff weapons, but utilizing the same form of energy. Gliders are capable of landing on smooth terrains, but are primarily designed to facilitate terror and obedience from those beneath. Tangent - The U.S. military, after cannibalizing Apophis's death gliders, launches O'Neill and Teal'c in the prototype X-301, giving them a test-flight that might cost them their lives. Exodus - O'Neill and Teal'c use a death glider to shoot down an Al'kesh over the planet Vorash, in an attempt to prevent Tanith from escaping. Descent - SG-1 escapes Osiris' sinking mothership with a pair of death gliders.
