Small device worn inside the jacket of an S.G.C. uniform, capable of affecting the output sound of a normal, "un-Goa'ulded" human's voice to match that of a symbiote, as if he or she was possessed by one of the creatures. Vala Mal Doran possessed a similar version of the device in the shape of a bright crystal that was integrated into many of her wardrobes while she posed as the Goa'uld Qetesh on P8X-412. The device could be deactivated by a gentle tap of the hand. KEY EPISODE(S) - Proving Ground - The voice modulator technology comes in hand during training scenarios for potential S.G.C. candidates. The Powers That Be" -Vala uses her own version of a voice modulator to make the people continue to believe that she is their god, Qetesh.  |
