ANALYSIS

  • Prior to his death at the hands of Sokar ("Serpent's Song"), Apophis was planning a covert invasion of Earth using a fake S.G. team – equipped with Earth-like uniforms and weapons, and educated in American customs and trivia. It's not entirely clear how this plan was to be executed, without an iris code to actually reach Earth – and seeing as how the officers at Stargate Command are familiar with their own personnel.

PRODUCTION NOTES

  • This was the first television role for both Dion Johnstone ("Nelson") and Aaron Crave ("Rogers"). The two became fast friends on set, despite the fact that Johnstone had originally auditioned for the role of Captain Rogers.
  • Dion Johnstone would go on to play several characters on Stargate SG-1, including a "Foothold" alien, Chaka, Warrick, Wodan, and – without prosthetics – Lt. Tyler.
