Altairan greeting, spoken in conjunction with clapping the hands together and raising them to the sky in a sweeping motion.
"Comtrya" means many different things, and can be used to acknowledge success. It is used in excess by the Altairan Harlan, to the annoyance of others.
KEY EPISODES
Tin Man - SG-1 encounters Harlan, a robotic Altaran who is fond of the term "comtrya."
Double Jeopardy - Not possessing a current iris code, Harlan transmits the word "comtrya" to the S.G.C. to signal that it is he who wishes to come to Earth.
