The Alliance will span several planets and include several alien races, GameSpot has confirmed. Players will choose one member of SG-1 to play, and will be able to give basic commands to the other three. Each character possesses a different weapon and unique abilities — such as Daniel Jackson’s ability to translate alien runes — adding to the game’s replay value.
Teammates can be revived if they die, but players will have to reach them in time — about 20 seconds.
The Alliance will also include online play (at least on the Xbox), with up to four players able to play through the game’s campaign cooperatively as SG-1. A “deathmatch” mode will also support up to 16 players in head-to-head combat!
