Black will play “The Cleaner” in the new vampire detective series, which stars Alex O’Loughlin as Mick St. John. The character is responsible for cleaning up messes left by vampires — especially murders and feedings — in order to prevent the criminal justice system and the world at large from finding out about the existence of vampires.
In the season finale, titled “Sonata,” a vampire kills a human lover in a moment of passion, threatening to expose the secret vampire underground to the world.

Black returns to Stargate in the highly anticipated movie Stargate: Continuum, coming to DVD and Blu-ray disc on July 29.
