OMG! I can’t wait until Friday.
I’m looking forward to this season. Started really well and this upcoming episode looks strong.
That would have been a cool preview to have seen following last week’s episode: SPACE. I’m surprised that wasn’t the ‘official’ preview. Great scene – now i can’t wait until Friday either.
Where’s the sense of urgency? Sorry but, the scene felt ‘flat’, I’ve had the same issue with most released clips.
There’s no real sense of danger or urgency in this clip, except maybe Eli, but he always talks really fast and stutters a bit anyway…
looks like more action either way so the second half is looking good!
Gotta agree with Jack. There was no real sense of danger or urgency. Eli aside they actually sounded more bored than worried.
Stargate with a darker/more adult film! yes please :-D. but… I’m starting to worry about SGU :/ the first half of season one felt ohh too familiar, as Jack_Baur said ‘Flat’. SGU feels unoriginal both in narrative context and stylistic approach. It has the same Shaky Camera/HD presentation that most US shows have adopted in recent years! which i do like! but when its so blatantly similar to a very recent Sci Fi show, it seems almost insulting with Space there was more urgency on screen as the characters were divided and tested, which is promising! So fingers crossed! i… Read more »
There’s plenty sense of urgency in being told you’re going to get vaporized. I do think it was missing some build up music though.
@ Jack Bauer “There’s no real sense of danger or urgency in this clip, except maybe Eli, but he always talks really fast and stutters a bit anyway…” I have to disagree. Like the show, the promo started a bit slow but built as Scott & Young realized what was really going on. They are career military men and they aren’t going to wring their hands or yell out “Oh God, oh God, we’re all going to die.” (Serenity ? ) Eli, on the other hand, is a civilian and immediately grasped how desperate their situation was. As he tried… Read more »
oh good god. It’s an actual short clip from the show, not an overly hyped commercial spot. Of course the sense of urgency is not quite all there… it’s called taking out of context!
Has it potential, maybe, will it sell, more than likely, do i like, maybe after the rum.

still on season 1 dude
simple effective teaser, and Young’s reactions did develop if you re-watch the clip. Nonetheless the shift from action adventure to “dramation” is still up the air in terms of success. Nive to see that “we” are getting to grips with the ancient tech. I would love for the crew to find an ancient diary or broken kino with an ancient story in it…. possible envelope for guest stars to take precedent for a show.
