Each year around this time, it’s great to be both in California and a science fiction fan. And for those attending the annual San Diego Comic-Con next week, this year should be no different. The annual event is being held July 22 to July 25 at the San Diego Convention Center.
Even at this late date, the schedule for the massive convention is still in flux. Television and movie actors are announcing appearances. Some convention presentations (like the one by the FOX network for the upcoming Steven Spielberg-produced series Terra Nova) have been scrapped. And others that have been previously announced finally have a place on the schedule. Stargate Universe is a prime example of the latter.
Syfy recently announced the date, time, location and guests present for the SGU panel. The hour-long presentation will be held on Friday, July 23 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Pacific time. Guests for this year’s panel include Robert Carlyle (“Dr. Nicholas Rush”), David Blue (“Eli Wallace”), Ming Na (“Camille Wray”), and Louis Ferreira (“Colonel Everett Young”). The panel will be held in Ballroom 20 of the Convention Center.
It will also be the final Stargate-related convention appearance for series co-creator and executive producer Robert C. Cooper, who will serve as moderator. Cooper announced his departure from the franchise several weeks ago (story).
Keep it locked on GateWorld for more Stargate convention news. Details on next month’s Creation Entertainment Official Stargate Convention in Chicago are coming soon, along with a chance for you to win tickets to the event!

Bring back lots of reports, photos, and videos!
Offtopic, but, I’m surprised Gateworld gives no mention of the SGU/SGA crossover happening in season 2 yet.
And, I have enjoyed watching SGU from the begining.
