Syfy Channel is going big on guest stars and crossovers for its hit series Eureka this season, which the network has just picked up for a fifth season. Syfy also announced that one of those guest stars for the current (fourth) season is Stargate Universe‘s Ming-Na.
There’s no info yet on her episode or character, but the actress did post a hint on Twitter recently: “A big HELLO to @neilgrayston a.k.a. Fargo on Eureka! You’re awesome! Following you now! Great working with you! Hint, hint to my tweetiepies!”
Of course it won’t be a crossover for Camille Wray, Ming-Na’s character stranded far from Eureka on the Destiny. Eureka just aired its crossover event with Warehouse 13, welcoming Alison Scagliotti to the small town with big secrets.
UPDATE: Syfy announced Thursday that “Ming-Na will portray U.S. Senator Alice Wen who arrives in Eureka to handle a sensitive matter within Global Dynamics. Her character may appear in more than one episode.” An air date has not been set yet.
Other guest stars announced for the current season include Jaime Ray Newman (Atlantis‘s Lt. Laura Cadman, who has had a recurring role on Eureka), Ed Quinn, Wil Wheaton, Jamie Kennedy, Chris Parnell, Matt Frewer, and Felicia Day.
Long-time Stargate fans might also recognize Eureka’s Allison Blake, played by actress Salli Richardson-Whitfield. She played Teal’c’s wife Drey’auc in the Stargate SG-1 first season episode “Bloodlines.” (Brook Parker took over the part when Drey’auc returned in Season Two.)
SGU is back with its second season on Tuesday, September 28. We’ll keep our ear to the ground and let you know more about Ming-Na’s spot on Eureka when the info becomes available!
Ed Quinn? Returning? Yes!
I thought as much.
