A brand new season of Stargate Universe is about to begin!
Syfy’s hit space drama moves to a new night when it premieres tonight at 9 p.m. (8 Central), picking up where the bloody cliffhanger left off: The Lucian Alliance has taken control of Destiny, Colonel Young and the rest of the military are about to be executed, Telford and Kiva have shot each other, a pregnant T.J. has taken a bullet to the abdomen, Chloe is shot and bleeding out in an unexplored part of the ship, and Greer and Scott are rushing along the outer hull to reach an airlock before the nearby pulsar hits them with lethal radiation.
Things, in other words, have been better.
After the episode is over, be sure to check in at GateWorld Forum to talk about the big premiere with other fans! And keep your browser pointed at GateWorld all this week for our full coverage of the episode — analysis, transcript, screencaps, a podcast, and more.
Here’s your sneak peek at the Season Two premiere, “Intervention!” (Watch out for SPOILERS.) In the meantime, don’t forget that Syfy is running an all-day marathon of Season One episodes leading up to the season premiere at 9 (8 Central).
From TV Guide:
Rush devises a risky plan to use radiation from the binary pulsar to force the Lucian Alliance to cede control of Destiny. Meanwhile, a critically injured lieutenant Johansen dreams of a rustic life with her baby in the Season 2 opener.
From Syfy:
Control of the Destiny hangs in the balance as the battle continues between the crew and the Lucian Alliance.
Colonel Young and most of his military personnel are held at gunpoint by the Lucian Alliance. While Dannic has no hesitations to kill them, he is convinced by Varro to leave them on the nearest planet. Shortly after arrival the Destiny crew find themselves joined by Varro and those of his men now deemed as traitors by Dannic. When a deadly electrical storm begins to brew, all must work together to find safe shelter and survive.
And from Sky1:
Colonel Young and most of his military personnel are held at gunpoint by members of the Lucian Alliance and forced to travel through the Stargate to a rocky, uninviting planet. When a deadly electrical storm begins to brew, both captors and hostages must work together to survive.
Meanwhile, Rush, Brody Chloe and Eli seal themselves off in the hydroponics lab and manage to obtain some control of the ship’s power. Plus, while an injured Johansen lies in the infirmary, her subconscious visits a familiar place where she receives some startling news.
