The episode promises to delve into Greer’s life, some history for T.J., and bring the Lucian Alliance member Varro to the forefront.

[…] SGU episode, Seizure, better than usual, I’m really ramping up for tonight’s ‘The Hunt‘ episode. SGU: The Hunt airs tonight in the US on […]
Isn’t the guy on the big picture the runner from Atlantis episode 5.09 – Tracker? He looks very much like it.
@davey1994: Correct. But since the end of SGU season 1, he’s been playing a member of the Lucian Alliance, who has since become a somewhat trustworthy member of the crew.
Yeah, His character Varo is played by Mike Dupid. He was the runner in SGA that had that teleporting device on his arm. and was also the Bounty hunter in SG1 season 10 episode that showed up at Mitchell’s high school reunion. He was also in BSG. I have been waiting for them to use the Lucian Alliance characters more. Simion an Ginn were severly underused. SGU has been seriously missing the non earth member of their team that is awesome. No tealc or Ronon types in SGU. Greer is great but he is no Ronon Dex
Haha i agree, Ronon was the best. He has a new show that is coming out soon. I think I’m going to check it out.
@davey1994 I know he has a Conan the Barbarian remake movie,but I wasn’t aware he had a new show.What’s the name of it?
@Jim Jason will be playing Khal Drogo in HBO’s Game of Thrones.
@Sylvia AAh,I’ve heard about that,but somehow missed he’s gonna be in it.Thanks!
Those animal renders looks amazing. Looks another exciting day with SGU :)
Game of Thrones definitrly seems worthed checking it out..HBO,Sean Bean,our Ronan,type of a fantasy story,that if done right can be really,really amazing and from the looks of it,I’d say it’s very possible this is done right.And it starts next Sunday!

I guess we’ll see whether this episode manages to be any different from all the other “extremely dangerous carnivorous monsters of animalistic intelligence in the forest” episodes of the various Stargate series.
Dachannien, well, there are sure lot of eps in forests, but I don’t remember that much with extremely dangerous monsters. It is usually humanoid type of danger.
If they didn’t have the Volker crush mixed in, then this episode felt like an SG-1 episode. I like how they brought the Lucian Alliance character into the fold. I think if they gave him some good material to work with that he’d be a fan favorite.
@dontfreakout I agree,love that actor,he has such charisma.You mean SG1,cause of the woods?;)
Woods and lakes,lol!Gotta understand,there ain’t much else in the Pacific Northwest! Kidding,I know what you mean.
Loved the episode. It almost seems like the SGU episodes are getting better every week, shame its gonna end soon. I’m still hoping they get a green light on a movie or web series. Mike dupid also played the russian colonel that takes jackson at the roadblock in the episode where us and russia almost go to nuclear war because of goa’uld infiltration. I saw that episode the other day and recognized him, small part tho. He’s one of my favorite characters on SGU.
Freakin’ good episode! :) I have really enjoyed it! :D
Season 2.5 is amazing! SGU is the best sci-fi series since BSG.
daaaaayum Robert Carlyle is such a class act, he’s so much fun to watch even when he has no lines. Jamil Smith adds so much swag to Greer, his showdown with the animal near the end of the episode was soooo epic. This episode is a great example of how much of a strong female badass TJ is, props to Huffman for always owning, it’s a shame her flashbacks were cut. I’d like to see more of Eli trying to match wits with Rush, it’s so fun to watch. Great episode, fingers crossed for this story to be continued after… Read more »
I was looking forward to this episode, but it was kind of a dissapoint and a bit confusing. The episode was good, but it got messed up with all of the relationship and crush stuff. I know SGU wants to be different from previous shows and thats not a problem, my problem is pretty much every episode is about someone having a relationship with someone. In SG1 or SGA relationships were like bonus’s for the storyline something a bit extra, but in SGU its like relationships are half the story. No offense but it felt like I was watching a… Read more »
Worst episode in season 2 IMO. The Volker-Park stuff was terrible, even gating to a planet and getting into trouble with the local fauna turns into a strange (pointless?) internal struggle of Greer’s that all leads to a head scratching ending. I can’t wait for next week’s episode to take my mind off of this one.
I cant help wondering.. Why do they use Mike Dupid in 3 different characters? They kind of did the same with Richard Kind, but he was in the original movie and not in any series.
Easily one of the best episodes of the series. Everything just clicked. I was very impressed. I just wish more SGU episodes were like this.
Ok,In “Twin Destinies”,The episode,When they dialed in a star,wasn’t that a little predictable,i mean,everyone knows that when your near a star, or in this case, in a star,solar flares cause wormholes to go back in time…so maybe the people didnt die,but instead went back in time to a nearby planet,lol.
relationships, specifically human interactions taking place during great adversity involving survival has been a staple of this show since the very first episode soooooo there will definitely be more Volker/Park type moments happening during the rest of the series sooooo anyone complaining about such things should idk…pick up a new show. As for the ending, I really didn’t find it confusing. Both TJ and Geer take turns in explaining what’s going down. The animal notices the fire which tells him his captures are highly intelligent. When Greer puts down his weapon the animal understands Greer is no longer posing a… Read more »
@EsbenWitch Pick up a new show? Well thats exactly what millions have done and look where this show has gone too. I’m not a hater and not here to rub anything in. I, and many others that feel as I do just seem to think this show shouldn’t be wrapped up on who gets to sleep with who all the darn time. Serously they have two people missing off world, and what does the crew on the ship do? Pretty much continue as if nothing was wrong. In Sg-1 they would have sent in UAV’s and such to help out… Read more »
The ending with the animal/dinnosaur thing was confusing to me because the creature could’ve seen us use our gun’s or other technology to detect that we’re intelligent. If the creature is able to detect intelligence from someone making fire, it should be able to make fire aswell, like the Unas creatures from SG-1. It was also confusing to me because the creature looked like a dinnosaur. I understand why the creature let them go, but I guess because it looked like a dinosaur instead of bigfoot it’s just hard to believe their that intelligent
I have nothing against sex,but relationships..yes,lol!
Seriously,in my opinion what they did wrong with relationships in SGU,from the very start is that they develop to quickly and out of nowhere,no apparent background..reason.So instead of maturely developing and evolving over time,they literally tend to seem as crushes from Gossip Girl:)
I never managed to worm up to whole Matt/Chloe romance either.That in my opinion is the weakwst link of the show..pretty much everything else I had problems with were just minor quibbles.
First and foremost, I am completely sober right now (lies).
@puddlejumper_1 “less crying and sex” may just be the single funniest thing I have ever heard. Thank you.
The fact that I’ve never seen a single episode of SG1 or SGA means that we’ll always have completely different perspectives on SGU, although I think everything you said was completely valid.
As for your second post regarding the ending…well, TOUCHE SIR. Maybe the animal was straight up intimidated/impressed by Greer’s ultra pimp swag idk?
@EsbenWitch
Lol yourwelcome!
BTW if you have some time definelty check out SG-1 season 4 episode 8 “The First Ones” Its very similar to this episode and you’ll see where I’m getting at. Also season 7 episode 16 “Death Knell”. You can catch this episodes online at hulu for free(I also dont know these episode numbers and titles at the top of my head, I had to look them up)
On another note, Im very sad about whats going on with stargate…just can’t believe its actually over, and we(the millions!!) never got a proper ending
